EFAN Controller

I bought a efan kit about 2 months ago with a group buy. It was reasonably priced. I have had it installed for about 3 weeks. Even with 100 degree weather, my ECT on my Edge doesnt report over 198. Thats not bad. The problem I have is the primary fan for the last few days doesnt turn on. I have LEDs to show that. So, today, I looked at the wiring for the controller and found that the fuse is melted. the primary fan kicked on today and still worked with the melted fuse. Should I contact the store that I bought the fans from or should I shell out 100 for a mad controller. The controller that came with the kit felt pretty nice. It was filled with some sorty of epoxy and it felt solid. I would think that with the fuse overheating, it should have opened up. The other controller works like a champ. For right now. Any input would be well appreciated.

Was this the Junses group buy fan kit? I haven't installed mine yet, but I have heard of somebody else having a problem with the controller.

If these controllers are a problem, I want to get new ones before I install the fans.

Yea, it was the Jusnes group buy. The fan apears to spin fine right before I pulled the the relay so I dont blow up my truck. Just seems that the fuse deal overheated for some reason and the fuse melted but didnt blow. i would think if the fan was busted it would trip the fuse. I guess same thing with the controller

Here is what I found today. The actual controller with the melted fuse/fuse holder still works but the fuse was in really bad shape so I pulled it. The controller is for the second/ac fan. It is actually the one thats always on due to the A/c. The fan I have connected to it spins freely like the other one but has a little bit of vibe to it when its on and when it turns off. I wonder if the fuse hold is just junk and that the fan is good. Anybody have any input. I just dont want to be stranded on the crazy highway on the way to work. that would be bad. I did order a Mad controller today since I was going to get one anyways. It says it turns off on the highway which is good stuff.

to all that have read this exciting news, the vendor is going to ship me a new controller and fan assembly. That is great customer service. Lets see how it works.
