Well what do you think of my truck?

I welcome any sugestions... I am waiting for the last two items, my color coded bug shield and moonroof deflector they were ordered and are being painted. I use this truck as my every day ride. I have two sons and we get together about twice a month and go to the beach for some surf fishing. We have a trip planned for next weekend. The lift is 4.5 inch with a add-a-leaf in rear. I do have a receiver mounted Warn Winch we take out to the beach just in case.... I have always had Ford trucks and I just like this vehicle for many reasons, Room, Ride, and the 4x4'ing we do on the Outer Banks. I am a retired aviation electronics engineer (BSEE). I worked for McDonnell Douglas Aircraft Company (Now Boeing) on the F-15 Eagle and the F/A-18 Hornet performing Pilot****pit integration... Awesome job. Any way... What do you men think of my BABY?

BrewDude... After searching all over for a 4.5" lift that was a bolt-on (Except for a small cut for front Differiential support clearence) I chose the SuperLift system. My son and I did the modification in our driveway in about eight hours (2 days four hours each day). The instructions were well written. I did not place any calls for "Technical Assistance". everything arrived in three boxes with a nice inventory sheet and VERY clear instructions. My son is twenty-Six and came over to help me after work... The project went great. I did take it back to FORD for the front end Alignement... The truck rides great! NO shake in steering wheel. I did trim about an inch off front lower valance and used a side-grinder to remove a little portion of metal on inside rear of front wheel area. I have no rubbing in forward or reverse with wheels turned to stops. Thanks for the compliments!!!

Hey Keith 61760... Oh Lemoore, Ca. I also started my career in the USN. I was also a AT as well. I enlisted in 1977. I worked the I-Level area on a test bench called VAST. I managed to complete my 2 yr. degree during my first four year hitch. I then spent another two active and went to work for Harris/Lanier/3M as a technical representative. While there I served the East coast ships (F/A-18 A/B/C/D)and the Awesome Sweep wing F-14 Tomcat "Anytime Anywhere" Bird. I was permanently assigned to MALS-31(USMC) Beaufort, SC.(After all the Marines are a detachment of the US Navy). I then jumped ship and hired on with McDonnell Douglas Aircraft Company (McAir) now Boeing. I was then sent to Kaneohe Bay Hawaii.... Wonderful Place, for five years. While there I was requested by the Marine Corps to accompany them to Desert Shield/Storm (90-91) after returning I was assigned to Edwards AFB, Rosamond Ca. where I worked USAF F-15E and trained the Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) on O&I level maintenance procedures.... I managed to complete my education while at Edwards, AFB.

I retired in 2003.. Moved home. And @ 47 years of age I am gonna just enjoy life, my family and of course my truck....

How long have you been @ Lemoore? I use to know several of the Tech Reps there in the early to mid 90's. How about that Super Hornet? I've got a friend that works the production line in Saint Louis, Mo. but I never got to check the strecthed version out before retiring. BoB
