Leveling Kit From Dealer?

The after market parts department at the dealer where I purchased my truck will install the Daystar leveling kit for 525 plus tax, includes re-alignment. I know that’s at least double what I can do it for, but it does come with a 3yr 36K warranty, which makes me feel safer. I would do the AS kit if I do it myself, because it’s easier to install, but from what I’ve read here, the Daystar has/causes fewer problems. What do you guys think? Is it worth it or would I be really stupid not to DIY?

Thanks.

$525.00 is a rip off. The reason Daystar seems to have fewer problems is because fewer people use it.

My local dealer does a daystar leveling kit for $395 which is also warranted.

A 2.5" level kit, no matter what brand, causes the same suspension angularity issues.

the daystar gose on top of the spring which actually extends the strut more making easer to top out. the autospring goes ontop of the strut mount so it does not have that problem. go with th autospring

Dude, don't forget common sense - the dealer is giving the installation and parts a warranty. That only means that he warranties it will not be mis-installed. He is NOT giving you anything else...I.E. if for some random reason your truck breaks a axle he's not footing the bill...I hate when local dealers pull this bull**** and pretend like they will warranty everything. Remember this is BEFORE the sale...afterwards it's impossible to get anything they promised you...hell I have seen plenty of trucks with 6" lifts and "warranties" from the dealer...yea right dude...and i have a bridge i'd like to sell you
