Anyone else slow as ****???

I have an 06 stage 1 Roush F-150 and I am so disappointed with the performance of it. It goes 0-60 in 10 seconds flat. That's just a plain joke in my eyes. Yes I know Ford wasn't going the sporty route with this truck, they worked on towing capacity, etc. But a 10 second 0-60 is just horrible. I actually have trouble changing lanes on highways because the truck struggles to move at all. I'm seriously considering buying a lightning now. Ugh... anyone else's truck this slow?

Just remember......."It's a truck"

And I certainly hope you didn't buy the Roush S1 for better performance, since it's just an appearance package.

But in all seriousness, have you thought about the different things you can do to these trucks to better the performance? Tuner, intake, efans etc.??

I added an AF1 Intake. added a little bit of performance, mostly sound. I didn't actually pick the Roush to get. It was kind of given to me. I'm starting to really want the lightning right about now...

You know, I really don't have that problem now.

I started with the Roush stage 1 upgrades, and then decided to get the Whipple supercharger instead of the Roush because of the extra power. A few mods on the Whipple, and I'm dusting everything I've played with on the roads. I don't know why, but my favorite kills are the 05-06 mustang GT's, although smoking that Mazda RX8 day before yesterday was fun too.

Go get yourself a whipple and stop just looking fast, start being fast.

If you want something fast buy a car.It will be a lot cheaper making a car fast than it will making a big heavy truck fast.

Why is everyone so obsessed with 0-60 MPH performance in a truck?!?!?

I'm far more concerned with the truck's 60 MPH to ZERO performance!

Must be fun!

However, im extremely dissappointed by the RX8s. I almost got beat by an avalanche while I was test driving one.

Yea I know what you mean. I had the same problem. I purchased a K&N, borla exhaust and had to pcm flashed. all these other guys apperently are to old to want to change lanes on the highway or already driving to slow to notice. With the small mods i have done really fixed the problem. I went from the truck not able to spin the a tire to now it will do it no problem. Im not sure what my 0-60 is but now im not afraid to jump in to traffic. Where as before i wouldnt think of it. On the plus side after the mods I get about 1-2 more mpgs highway. Now for the rest of you guys that are ready to flame us have at because they say the truth hurts. Which makes me think that alot of these guys are either really lucky or there are just few of use that got the windows 95 version for the pcm and they got the mac verison. Hope this helps you out. and good luck in your quest to get the power out of the motor.

Get the Xcal2 and datalog. If you're not happy than go with gears or a Whipple.
