questions

What is RV power? I'm looking at compcams xtreme cams and one of them says "Stock replacement cam with more RV power". What does that mean? Here's the link.

http://www.compperformancegroupstore...Category_Code=

Also, which cam would be best for a daily driver. I want to make as much power as I can but still be drivable on the street. I don't care how it idles as long as it will cruise down the freeway and around town like a normal truck.

And finally, some of them way you need a 2000+ stall converter. Is a stall converter the same as torque converter? What do we have from the factory?

We need a section for engine/drivetrain in the aftermarket part of the forum for threads like this.

i don't believe that there is nobody on here that knows the answers to these. With the amount of people playing the sheep game, I know there are members surfing the site while at work (like I'm doing). I know nothing about cams except what they do. Lift and duration, I know what they are but have no idea how they affect the motor.

Coming from Modular 4.6 Mustangs, I can tell you if your not raising compression, getting heads ported and longtubes the money spent on 2 cams and install is not worth the power at all. If you instist get the "next to stock" cams as you will not have to get upgarded springs. Personally I would just get a Whipple twin screw and be done with it.
