Hey guys, I have an 06 Stage 1 Roush F-150, but to be honest, I'm not entirely happy with the performance of it and I also have always loved the 98-03 body style lightning's and harley's. And I found 2 lightnings at my dealership. So I'm coming to you guys for some opinions, which would YOU rather have,

Lightning. I've always love the Lightning.

 

it depends, if you have a family or carry friends around then keep the roush, if you are single and dont need the extra interior space then get the lighting if you like the performance of it better

 

Im so confuesed. Roush? FX4? Roush wheels with BFG A/T KOS? WTF!

 

Keep the Roush. Looks nicer, newer, just not faster. Will probably last alot longer as well.

 

I got rid of my 2004 Lightning, to get my current 06 Lariat 4x4. One of the best decisions I have ever made. I simply love this truck.

All out performance? Hands down Lighting.
All around vehicle? Keep the Roush.

From what you've posted you want the Lightning. From the looks of it you don't offroad with that (Roush spoilers and what not), but it waxes the Lightning as far as usefullness. I'm not saying the Lightning isn't useful, but your confused Roush FX4 is better suited for everyday.

 

Keep the Roush and install the supercharger or get an Edge tuner for it.

 

The dealer also has an 03 Harley. I'm thinking about that also since it's pretty quick and is also a supercrew. What do you guys think?

keep the roush. have you even done ANY performance mods to it? the stage 1 isnt that much faster than stock if at all. I think the stage 1 is mostly the body kit and exhaust. get the edge, efans, intake, headers, supercharger, etc. Then reconsider but Im sure you wont be disappointed
also that roush looks awsome! I think the lightnings are getting kinda old. They are nice but I dont get the WOW factor when I see one on the road anymore. If you really want performance wait till the new lightning comes our or even the saleen!

 

So far all I have is an Air Force One intake on it. The truck is unbelieveably slow. I mean, I was beat off the line by a dodge work van at a red light last week when I was pretty much WOT. That was what made me pissed off.

And there is no new lightning coming out. If there was I would have definetly gotten that, but it was axed by Ford. Maybe I'll wait for the Saleen, but I just figured that I would have to add a lot of money when I trade in my truck to get that when it comes out. Plus I like the older body style much better for sport trucks.

 

then get the lightning or the HD. I think the lightning or the HD would hold its value more than the roush would. You might even get more for it if you trade in for a Saleen down the road.

 

Go put a whipple on that thing. I did some upgrades on the whipple and am hopefully about to regear with 4.56. Not much keeps up with me on the road now, even the SRT-10's.
