if it wasnt a king ranch and it didnt have the spoiler or the stickers than it would be a nice truck

I disagree 100% there. The paint is in horrible shape. You might be seeing a flash and that may, indeed, amplify the swirls but, you're still looking at swirls. No one in the detailing world will argue that white light (hence, a flash bulb or wally-world parking light) will amplify and exemplify any paint blemish...

They're swirls.

Also, 04procomp... remember, we have a detailing forum.

I noticed this truck on eBay listed a hood replacement with the ram air hood by Suncoast Creations. That could explain why the hood is cracked. The hoods made from fiberglass may look pretty, but they are not durable enough. If you ever consider an aftermarket hood, look for a quality hood made from OEM engineered materials like those from ramairhood.com

I agree that the wing and stickers look gaudy, and the rear needs lowered to sit level.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I didn't think you could get a Black on Black KR. I thought the black only came with the tan on the bottom. If this is true, it just goes to show the great lengths that this guy took to turn his KR into a ricer

this thing is far from a ricer. I see no monster tach hangin on the dash, or a coffee can hangin underneath the rear bumper. everyone has their own style, and if this is what he likes, so be it. If they guy did all the work himself, i give him props. You guys in your little detailing world over there are bashing him for the swirls. If you know how hard it is to paint, and get a consistent paint job, you wouldn't be pickin on the swirls.

you guys can call mine ricer all you want, but it hauls over 5 tons of steel on a 20' trailer on the weekends and beats the **** out of the street queens on friday nights.

I supporse the paint could be in horrible shape, but how could one possibly know it is horrible without seeing it in plain sight? There are too many reflections in the photos.

I wouldnt kick it out the the garage. A couple of things would come off... but other than that... its not bad.

ANd shtrdave, your truck has an aggressive hood, Ext cab and with a flat Tonneau, your truck would look a little bland in the rear. I generally dislike anything with a spoiler that wasnt meant for it, but yours does have a sort of complete appear.

Dribone,

I would never call your truck ricey. It is wwaayy too clean for that. Your truck has the stance and wheels to match the rest of the accessories on it. In fact, I really like the look you have going for your truck; low clean and mean. This truck is ricey because of the extremely loaded outward appearance and NO suspension mods to improve the stance.

Its no big deal to me, its not my truck so I really don't have a right to comment about it, and to each his own. But geez, that thing sure is gaudy...

Yea I would. Swirls on a vehicle is like nails on a chalk board to me.:o

Ditto.

I concur that it takes a special individual to spray... no doubt. But, a swirl free finish is not a thing of mystical proportions...
