5.4 GT engine anyone?

Alright, I've tried most of the standard modifications (programmer, exhaust, fans, pulleys, supercharger) and I'm STILL not completely satisfied. Yes, I even added the Ford GT's high-speed wiper foils. I suppose this is from knowing what we lost when the 2006 SVT Lightning Concept got axed by Bill "The Way Forward" Ford .

I've been spending a lot of time looking at the GT engine and I'm beginning to wonder...

What about swapping the 5.4 Triton out for the GT's 5.4 engine? Is such a mod possible with these trucks? Anyone have any thoughts?

I believe the Ford GT engine also has a 4v head.

Why spend that kind of $$$ when you could get a supercharger for the 5.4 3v engine quite readily?

A complete rebuild of your trucks engine and more psi out of the s/c would be cheaper then a GT motor.

i could be wrong but i believe the gt is aluminum, that and has the internals to handle more then 500hp already i actually think it would be more to build a reliable 500hp triton engine then to get the gt

Cams, torque converter, regear, direct tuning, port and polish, internal forged parts, would be cheaper.

A new Cobra GT500 would be cheaper...the whole car.

The GT engine is also a dry sump oiling system and has no provision on the block for a starter. There are several other factors that would come into play as well.

Just contact Al Papito in Vero Beach, FL he is one the best 5.4 modular motor builders. http://www.boss330racing.com/ Have him build a 5.4, 4V, with 8.5:1 compression and just wait a little more and Whipple with release their GT500 twin screw S/C replacement, upto 30 psi boost. You should be able to safley make 700RWHP.
