I just went out and shot a few pictures of the Puddle Lamps in operation, check my gallery for a couple more. I'll post better pictures when I get the camera on a tripod and clean up the truck (it's been raining around here). The Puddle Lamps work with the mirrors extended or folded (and while in motion)They dim down to off just like the interior lamps. Other than the lamps on the bottom the mirrors look just like the deluxe mirrors.

ThAts awesome! They have the blinkers in the mirrors also? I have been wanting to do this for sooo long. I am just still confused on how to wire them up to the stock switch and all. Maybe when you have time you can put together a step by step how to on this mod?

A STEP-BY-STEP would be awesome. This is a great mod that hasn't been done very often, so I would like to know just a little more before starting.

Yep, like Prego it's in there. The Power Folding Mirrors have all the bells and whistles, they have heaters, blinkers, puddle lamps, are power mirrors and of course are power folding.

As far as wiring them up to the stock switch there is just one wire to add to the switch connector. That's assuming you have the deluxe mirror package that already has the heaters, blinkers and power mirrors so all of these functions are already built into your trucks wiring. Like I said before I have only added the power fold and puddle lamps to my existing package. You may want to do a search on this subject because some others have not had success getting this to work. I don't know why they had problems but when I installed mine per the Ford wiring diagram it worked just as it should.

I don't have many more pictures of the install but I'll post some step by step instructions and the wiring diagram to my gallery this weekend.

Isn't that a great mod? I worked with bsm2001 on this a few years ago and he really helped get this to work. Too bad Ford won't offer it as an option on all their F150s. I needed it to get my new [at the time] 04 in my garage without getting out of the truck to fold the mirrors. When I bought my new 04 the dealer [since gone out of business] told me that it could not be done. After bsm2001 and I spent about 3 months researching the project my local stereo installer put the parts together. It's still working.
