Brake pedal clunk

It moves about an 1/8" and makes a little clunk noise. It doesn't happen all the time, but still does it a lot. I looked at it and found that the adjustable pedal system has a bit of play in it. I didn't see any adjustment screws or anyway to tighten it up. Anyone else have this problem with their brake pedal?

Does it do it with your wipers on?

I know that's a goofy question but, I can HONESTLY feel my wipers in my brake pedal.

I can feel that too, the wiper motor is quite tourquee

As for the clunk, is this while in park or in gear? If in park, I wonder if it's the transmission lock hicky do thingy. My car does this, you can feel it in the pedal and hear it in the shifter assembly.

It does it while I'm driving, just 1 clunk, about 25% of the time when I hit the brakes. At 1st it felt like a broken pad on a caliper, but I'm almost positive it's the adj. pedals system. Imagine the way the antilock brakes feel, but just 1 click or clunk.

I don't have quite the same symptoms, but when braking if I hit a bump, or seam in the road the break petal "clunks" and seems to depress around 1/2" - 1". I can really scare you to death.

Has anyone had this happen before?
