Salesman: What's the matter is your wife Japanese?
Customer: No....
Of course, the guy was kidding and laughing the whole time, but once the customer called his wife and put her on the phone with the salesman, the hilarity ensued. Good stuff....
I just sold a Ford 500 to a couple yesterday and they traded in a Honda Odyssey. Seems to me like more people are stepping up to the plate and making the switch from import to domestic. But hey, what do I know? I'm only a car business insider. Good luck with whatever you decide to do though.

If I do decide on the F150, would you all recommend buying an 06' or waiting for an 07'? And, when will the 07's be out? Major improvements?
'07's will be out in September. No major improvements, just some new packages, some deleted colors, etc...
You can get 0% for 60 months right now on 2006 MY F-150's. I would have to say that NOW is the best time to buy. Best incentives, the industry's best warranty, etc..
Did you know Toyota's Bumper-to-Bumper coverage does NOT provide Roadside Assistance? If you break down in the middle of the night in that pretty 4Runner, you're screwed.
And if your Dad ALWAYS owned a Ford truck, why are you even considering Toyota? Maybe you should move to Japan.
Sorry bout that, it's been an interesting day so far.

$4600 to me is alot of change. The f150 is hell of alot safer also. As soon as you buy that 4runner you will be kicking yourself.
You will find a reason to use the F150 as a truck if you do hunt and fish trust me. Damn I'm really jealous also with the 5/60 warranty.
Good luck

I see your license plate says "Repaired Daily."
You must be the only one....
I have yet to sit in a single Toyota that was even half as "refined" as the new LAriat/Fx4 F150 interior. I just don't see how anyone could possibly say that ANY Toyota has a nicer interior than the F150.
Not to mention how thin everything is inside the 'yotas...(door panels, seats, everything).

I have something to add to the bunch...
I have an '05 FX4 and have driven an '05 4Runner Limited about 1500 miles last spring break. I agree with most of what everyone else has said, but I have a few little things that you might want to think about. Sure the 4Runner is smooth and has a car-like feel, but I felt like I was so low to the ground (this one is a 4x4) in comparison to my FX4 where I could see over al sorts of traffic. Also, if you are somewhat tall (I'm 6'), the center console in the 4Runner is pretty constraining on a lot of side to side movement, while the FX4 with the console seems extra roomy. Finally, the 4Runner I drove had the JBL Sytnthesis system...It wasn't that great compared to the Audiophile option in the F-150. The size of the suv detracted from the power of the system, I guess. I know they may be small factors, but these seem to be the little things you notice/regret when buying a new vehicle, IMO.
