If it could be pushed up and down into the hole under the tray so it could be out of sight when you don't need it. I would buy that.

a couple questions:
1. Do you or can you take a pic of it from the side, so i can see how much room is left in that little tray, or is it all taken up?
2. Is that a little space above the acutaly GPS unit?
3.did you install your self? was the install easy?

I take more pictures tomorrow night and post them.

I can still fold and fit my sunglasses in front of it, but there isn't much room at all. It does pretty much take up every inch.

I'm not sure what you mean about space on top but there is space between it and the window

Yes, I did install it. In about 20 mins. Very easy to install you could do it with your eyes closed.

In fact, Ford is utilizing a double-din nav system in several other FoMoCo vehicles... unfortunately though, not the F150.
Gotcha.

I just don't like that little 3 inch screen when we have those large double dins and all the aftermarket DVD/nav systems available.

Hopefully FoMoCo will make this an option in the F-150s in 08.

I'd put a nice aftermarket one in if I was sure it would work with my steering wheel control and handle the DVD player as well.

I'll be stuck with the unit shown here if I decide to do it.

Ford is adding the in-dash Nav in the '07 F-150. New grills for the Lariet and XLT along with the chrome step rails standard, power folding mirrors, etc.

You see where the acutal unit ends and theres a space between the unit and the housing? At the top of the acutal GPS unit.

That space on top has the volume **** and a button to repeat the last commanded direction inside it. If your looking at the picture and thinking it looks bad or anything it doesn't. It would have to be the picture and the light it was taken in. I took this picture last night in the dark. I take some more angles of it after work but it might be dark then as well.

No, I was hoping that would be a usable space to put some small items. It looks good
