Lightbulb Visited Dealer today for pricing on 2007 F-150 Lariat and Harley Davidson

Hello all,
Some interesting information for those like me who are trying to decide between the 2007 models of F-150 Lariat, FX4 or Harley Davidson in the Supercrew configuration.

1. Lariat/FX4 can be had with 6.5' bed option. Harley cannot.
2. Lariat/FX4 can be had with 35.7 gallon fuel tank option, Harley cannot.
3. Lariat/FX4 can be had with FFV V8 Engine option, Harley cannot.
4. FX4 Luxury Package is late availability.
5. I understand that Powertrain warranty will be extended to 5yr/60,000 mile. That's good news.

If it weren't for that damned awful woodgrain in the Lariat, it would be a slam dunk for me just based on the above. So maybe I'll have to wait for the FX4 Luxury package for late model year. If anyone is interested in pricing of Fully loaded Lariat and/or Harley for 2007, I have some info.
Thanks,
JSB

Okay, here it is:

Fully Loaded 2007 F-150 Lariat 4x4 SuperCrew (150" Wheelbase) with 6.5' bed, Power Moonroof and power sliding rear window and all other options -
Base Price: (Retail): $35,465.00 (Dealer Invoice): $ 32,037.00
With options: (Retail): $44,305.00 (Dealer Invoice): $39,950.50

Fully Loaded 2007 F-150 Harley Davidson 4x4 SS S/C (139" Wheelbase), 5.5' bed, Power Moonroof and power sliding rear window and all other options - Base Price: (Retail): $39,225.00 (Dealer Invoice): $ 35,364.00
With options: (Retail): $45,915.00 (Dealer Invoice): $ 41,492.50

I was surprised and disappointed when he told me that his computer said that Harley Davidson is only available in 5.5' bed. I guess for a limited run item they don't give you the same amount of choices.

swap wood grain for FX4 carbon fiber (console and door)

You mean swap those parts myself? or at order time? I'm pretty sure that they won't allow a Lariat to be ordered with FX4 items to replace the woodgrain. And what are the chances that if I replace those items myself that I will break something? And what do those parts cost?

???? FFV ??

Flexible Fuel Vehicle V8 Motor (E85 Ethanol capable Engine) F-150 has two 5.4L V8 Engines. One is FFV, and one is gasoline only.

I thought they were the exact same engine, just with sensors to adjust air and other things depending on how much ethanol is in the fuel.

Nope, the FFV has fuel line gaskets and seals that won't deterioriate from either straight gas or E85, while the gas only 5.4l V8 gaskets and seals won't withstand E85.

Yep, that's right. The audiophile stereo isn't available on the HD either.

It takes more than gaskets.

There is a company that sells conversion kits for non FFV 5.4 3-valve motors.

Do a search on this forum and you should find the thread.
