Step bars on 4x4's
I've been looking and can not decide. What about you guys? Do you like them on or off better? To me a truck looks higher with them off, but does it look better…

mine are great for our parents and grandparents getting in and out, as well as for shorter people who ride with me
they haven't yet been a problem off-road, but i don't drive off-road hard very often
i think they look nice, but i like the clean lines of the pickup without them better...function wins out over aesthetics for now

I didn't want to take mine off since I wanted them on in the first place because my mom, who's 5'1", wouldn't be able to get into the truck without them, and it makes it easier to get in and out in a tight parking space. I hate the thought of dinging up all of the Nissans and Infiniti's at work because I accidently pushed the door into the door of another vehicle because I was struggling to get into the truck without step bars.

I use them everytime to get in or out... As previously posted is saves wear and tear on the seats. It also allows for the young ladies to get in easier. I do however like the look of the truck better with them off.
Unfortunately I had a little accident and destroyed my black factory OEM passenger side step bars for a 2004 F-150 FX4. Would anybody be interested in getting rid of their step bars? How much would you be willing to sell them for?
