cst 8" lift
Non of these kits are really super offroad worthy. Anything with a drop down crossmember shouldnt be offroaded too much. Doesnt matter how strong the crossmember is, its only as strong as the stock mounts it bolts to. If you want super offroad worthy suspension go to the JD Fab kit. By the way...Procomp 2wd front crossmembers are the best looking out there IMO.
that would be one of the reason why I have the skid plates. It protects better and provides a surface for the rock to slide on without catching into the cross member.
But I agree, I would not go and do too many jumps in the sand dunes, if it catches..ouch

Nice info guys. I like the Rize cross member, think it looks trick. I just installed Toyo MT 37x13.5/17's on 17x10's (btw 4wheel parts list them for $307 for the past 6 mo, so when they quote you $360ea bring their mag'). I have the Procom 6" lift but the fronts are cranked all the way and the read has procomp addaleaf. I thought I was 8" but now I beleive it's 7.5". If someone can measure ground to bottom of wheel well center, please post. These tires are very wide. On Toyo's web site it syas the true width is 14.5"! . So, ovcourse it rubs on wide turns! I did some trimming but it still rubs lock-to-lock. Now I am debating what to do to make them fit better. I thought about adding the procomp spacers or even a body lift which I am scared of doing.
Has anyone mixed and matched parts?
Can I change some front parts with CST to make a true 8"?
Is adding eurothane or metal spacers ok with the lift?
Is a body lift dangerous with a lift (more chance of rollover)?
What are my options besides changing to 12.5" wide tires which would make me nervous being that tall.

Well the thing i'm not shure about on body lifts is it only lifts at a few points so the frame is on blocks and it's not even on the whole fraim rail, or is the incorrect? Anyhow, I don't want the cab sliding off the frame or something.
What is Glass?
Well, I didn't intend to change this thread to a body lift debate. just trying to figure out the best way to increase at least .5" of lift to clear my 37x13.5's. If I do a leveling kit, then i'll have the rake with the front angle higher then the rear unless I change the blocks to CST version or unless I can do two add-a-leafs?
Can I replace my Procomp cross member with a Rize version and get the extra hight?
Can I replace my OEM upper arms with Total Chaos Upper arms w/ uniballs and get the extra hight?

Hey captain morgan8...sorry I didn't jump in this forum earlier. If you have any questions still about the CST 8" kit, let me know. It's a great kit and their isn't a day goes by that I regret forking over the extra $$ to make it happen. And yes, PerformanceLifts is who I purchased mine through, they seem to have the best price.
