Question Need some help

Hi All,

I have a 2004 F150 and it has suddenly developed an amazing vibration/shake as you drive. I thought it might be the tires needing air check the pressure and they are at recommend amount of pounds. Then thought it might be brakes, well when you brake there are no problems no squeak or metal on metal sound, in fact only the shaking. Any suggestions?

I think it may be your e-brake, a few people have complained about that in the past.

Wouldn't I feel it more when I braked?

No, you would feel it less. Your e-brake is a drum brake and the regular is a disc.

Your e-brake is separate from the 4 wheel disc system on the truck. These are drum brakes in the rear disk hub. Sometimes they stick and cause the vibration you're experiencing. Have the shop tech check for a sticking e-brake.
