? for Edge users

I am looking to buy an Edge but I am wondering if it will benefit me since I will only be using the level 2 mode. I wont use level 3 cause I wont need it nor do I want to pay for the premium gas.

Is it worth to get to only use level 2? Is there a significant increase in power?

Oh by the way, '06 XLT w/5.4 scab

Is it worth the money!! There is a night and day differance between a stock and level 2. Just buy it up, you know you want to.....

Level 2 is all I use and it is still the best money I've spent on my truck so far. It's like buying a set of digital gauges and getting a tuner and code scanner for free!

I also keep it on level 2 and have only tried level 3 once. There isnt that much of a difference between level 2 and 3 but there is a huge difference between level 2 and stock!! I dont think it is worth filling up premium for level 3 each time. esspecially with these gas prices. GET THE EDGE!! IT is a must ahve for these trucks. you wont be dissapointed

thanks for the info guys, that what I was thinking as well. Just wanted to make sure before i spend the money.

How does the pod mount? Is it just 3m double sided tape? Also saw somewhere that someone had run there Edge to their ashtray. Would like someone to chime in on that aspect.

It actually comes wit double sided tape and velcro. I wasnt sure which to use but I went with the double sided tape because it was thinner and the velcro made it stick up a little. Some people have mounted it in their ash tray but I like the way it looks in the little dock think.

Its crazy all the areas you can monitor. Datalog if you really want to see what your ride is doing, Tweak your tunes,0-60 times as well as 1/4mile,etc,etc. Its a pretty handy tool that has a bit of fun factor as well.

no you do not have to mount it. You can plug it in, program the truck, and take it out and throw it in your garage.
And about your brother inlaw, a tuner is different for all trucks. My dad has a 03 tahoe and it is pretty quick stock (quicker than a stock f150). You probably know these 04+ f150s are pretty sluggish. I think FOMOCO just didnt program the PCM right. The edge will totaly make it a new truck.

I think that the only problem with a used one is getting help via warranty from Edge.

I actually used the 3M automotive double sided tape. This just makes it feel more solid, since the tape that comes with it sucks. AND OH YEA ITS WORTH IT!!!!

Guy I work with has had his about a week on his 06 Lariat. He is very impressed. He had the Edge on his diesel Excursion as well. I have ordered one and can hardly wait. Should be here Thursday.
