Help me get over this!

Well, I been aroung the block a time or two. I am 54, and have owned many light trucks, and driven up to a heavy desiel pulling a 75 ton dragon wagon. I have always thought of my trucks as work vehicles, kinda like a tool.
Well, until now. My new '06 Lariat Scab 4X4 has changed me into a wimpy city folk. Hell I spend more time shining this thing up than I do driving it.
When I was younger, and I bought a new truck, I used to put about 6" of horse poop in the bed, along with a few boulders, and then go 4 wheelin' to break in my new truck. Heck now folks I caint even take this truck onto a dirt road. Geez I might get the undercarriage dirty!
Help me, pleazzze! at least humor me!

Well you could still put horse poop in it and go offroading to break it in. Then you'll be able to spend extra time cleaning it all up again. It's an ingenious idea to constantly keep yourself busy.

Don't feel too bad your in good company! The thought of slamming my XLT in the dirt makes me cringe! When some dumba$$ keyed my door a few months back I started lobbying the government to bring back the death penalty!

It's good when it rains. It gives you an excuse to go out and clean the truck! Looks stupid to clean something that's already clean.

I am the same way with my new 06 XLT SCAB 4x4 and I'm only 40. I found a few tiny, tiny knicks in the paint yesterday and I almost had a corronary. I had it over three months and just turned 2400 miles.

My daughter checks her shoes before she gets in. She even took them off once before she got in. No eating or drinking anything in my truck. My wife and daughter hate the window locks too.

,Dan - I love my truck.

My goodness, nicks in the paint I would be in the coronary unit here in Summerlin (Las Vegas) now if that happened to my truck!
