Really dumb rim question

Ok, I am sure I know the answer this but I am second guessing myself. My buddy have the stock 18" wheels off his newer F150. He is looking to sell me then cheap. I have a 04 F150 with stock 17". My thinking is that they will work no problems at all other then maybe my speedo being a little off...Am I right, I think I just need another opinion. Thanks in advance.

Those wheels will work just fine. No problems at all.

Yup they should work with no problems at all if they have the 6x135 lug pattern. The speedo would only be affected if the tire sizes are different

Rim Question?

In 2005 Ford went to a new lug pattern, Six lug instead of the old five lug rim. I do not know if your 04 is 5 or 6 lug? Is your buddies truck an 05 or newer? if so it has the 6 lug rim verses the old 5 lug rim. Just pop off the center cap and you'll know if they will fit.

Where did the 7 lug pattern fit in? I know they exist.

My last truck was a '97 light duty F250 with the 7 lug pattern. I think that the heavy duty payload package 150s have the 7 bolt pattern.

I figured as much. Are there any aftermarket 7 lug wheels?

Bingo, it's a crapshoot to find a nice rim for the fairly new 6x135mm pattern, the 7 is rediculous.
