Its 100 outside right now and its grown another 3 inches. I think its beyond repair. At the time I looked at the trailer plate and thought I should write it down. Oh well. If I would have looked I could have filled the hole in but didnt realize it until it was too late.

The Navy doesn't have anything like that on base to repair. Safelite is 260 without the Ford Logo. Called the insurance company and they said it falls under Comprehensive. My detuctible is 500 so I'm paying for the windshield.

I just bought a Yamaha V Star Silverado motorcycle this afternoon. The windshield had to be replaced due to a scrach

You might want to add glass insurance

I used to carry it, it's only about 5 bucks and covers all the glass. State Farm had it, don't know about other insurance companies.

Every time I get hit by a rock, I take in my truck to some small business that specializes in rock chips and cracks. The guy charges $10 to fix the chip or crack, and you can't even see the damage at all. Took it in one time and the guy said a rock was super close from hitting a previous spot, said if it did hit the same place, I should go play the lottery.... too bad it didn't.

My windshield was replaced due to a propagating crack line, initiated from a stone running for freedom. The cost was $236, paid by the insurance company, no deductible.

I've got like 5 cracks in mine, one bad one and the others are just chips. I live on a gravel road so I dont replce it until it gets where it absolutly needs replacing. and about the windsheild being deformed, mine is the same way but not that bad. It doesnt bother me for some reason but when other people drive my truck they complain about gettign a headache. I kidna like it that way so they wont drive it

No deductible on my comprehensive.... :santa:

I just call the insurance and tell them my windshield is busted, I want OEM glass and they take care of the rest of it. Even have it installed in the parking lot at work.

I've had to have it done 3 times in the last 10 years. So far so good on this truck.

windshields

I have already had to replace one this year and have another crack now. So much construction in my area.

My first one only cost $180 installed. I did learn a secret....you can ask for the windshield without the F150 written in the center visor tint area. It costs about $150 more than one with just the tint (no F150 letters). Didn't matter to me so I opted for the cheaper one.

Sorry about being slow on calling you out on your drinking problem Keith, I was trying to schedule an intervention but with everyone's work schedules and such, it looks like Mike beat me to it.

As for the windshield, thank God I don't have that problem, it would drive me up the wall. Sorry to hear about it man,

I have a question about chips, how soon should you have it repaired? Is just a couple days until it is repaired fine?

Rock chip repair.

Thats the trick, catch it before it spreads. I own my own business doing mobile glass repair, and service work. It surpises me how quickly they can run before I can get to them for the fix.

I noticed mine once the crack started to spread. So I really had no chance for a repair.
