Going with a 6 inch Rize. Shocks?

After comparing lifts and always being one to not go with the majority, I decided to go with a Rize 6" lift (8" would be a waste for what I do).

What I liked about the Fabtech was the option on getting the dirtlogics and I would eventually install a rear shock with a resevoir.

What kind of shocks should I go with when I get the Rize installed? I do mostly beach driving here on Long Island, with occasional mud romps up in the Catskills.

Just looking for ideas.

Rize offers the Billstein Reservoir shocks with their kits. That should be more than enough for what you need.

I'd say Kings, but they are more than most are willing to spend.

If I end up getting my 8" Rize, I will eventually get the King coilovers up front and the piggy backs on the rear.

you said the 8 inch was a waste for what you do. seems like you do basic stuff. a fabtech would seem more practical. hey who am I one to say buy something practical. I have 8.5 inches of lift and 35s and never go off road.

Do not pay money for the rear Fabtech's, they ride bad and look even worse.

reason i asked is because i dont think there is much diff in price from 6-8" kit might be worth it to just get the 8" if its going to cost the same.

I will look into it. The extra cost is going from 35's to 37's

Not necessarily.. With some tires you can get 37's on 17" rims for cheaper than 35"s on 18" rims.. It depends on your setup.

hey tekkie its ken

i would listen to roushlimited and just get the bilstein shocks, they are good quality, much more so than if you got some dirt logics and adapted them. fox 2.5's would be very nice as well, im very satisfied wtih my 2.0's
