Body lifts aren't too hard to install.I've helped a few friends put them on their trucks. For some reason I have more friends since I put a 2 post lift in my garage.
I hate to admit it but about 20 years ago I installed a 2" hockey puck body lift on a old truck that I had.

My body lift wasn't hard to install but it was very time consuming. I hear the 04-07 F-150's are harder to install.

fwiw body lifts aren't hard to install justs time consuming like said earlier. the interior comes out and a few body bolts, jack the body, spacers, new bolts and there you go. well that's the short answer anyways. i was the guinea pig and did mine first. took a day to do it, and we did my friends' later. after you've done one it's really pretty easy. as an aside, he also installed a 6" fabtech that i thought was MUCH harder. none of the crossmembers would line up and we couldn't get the front diff to line up in the pockets. such a pain in the as s, but we eventually got it. not to mention the whole front suspension has to come off, but i digress. both are fine, all that matters are what you want to do with it and how deep your pockets are.

Where did you experience difficulties installing the body lift? All suspension lifts are different, I've heard someone on here install a procomp in 6 hours! I just need to find a good stretch of dates where I can afford downtime, doing my Fabtech 6" took some time. It would have been much easier to do before my suspension lift, now the damn thing will need blocks to support the frame rails on top of the jack stands. Lastly, how long did it take you? Looks great. Did you have to weld any bumpers, radiator mounts, etc?

A body lift cannot be much harder than a full suspension setup. Glad you chimed in Big Slick to clear up the misleaders, I had some problems with my Fabtech installation as well but eventually worked around them (brakeline troubles, diff mounts, etc...). I'm going to be ordering a 3" body soon as long as I can find a knowledgeable and willing extra hand...not some overgrown dummy.

Definitely. I don't believe there is much else out there besides PA who makes them for us is there. I'm going to retrieve a set of instructions and go over them if they're posted online.

I have my kit sitting here waiting to be installed.. Now that I am working as a mechaninc, I have acces to a lift, and everything I need to do the install, I'm just trying to decide wether I should tacke it myself, or just have it done since it is such a PITA..

I've been looking and even emailed PA's tech@...com email, but I got a returned email saying it was an invalid address. Your link above is dead (....'s) but I'm going to keep looking on that site, did you physically see them? I would definitely take a shot @ it if you have your own lift, I can't imagine how nice that must be.

I had a BL on top of my 6" Fabtech on my '03 and never had any problems. IMO the BL dont look bad especially if you already have a suspension lift. After I put gap gaurds and lifted my dual exhaust back up you couldnt really even tell I had a BL that much. I'm saving up for the 3" BL but want to get gears and 38x15.50 Claws all at the same time so it will be awhile still...
