My father has that clear bra on his 06 Envoy. It looks really good. I've seen other on cars that were not preped(sp) properly and looked like crap. I guess you have to have it really clean and waxed before you put that on. I've never seen anyone put iit on so don't know about that, but if I had some extra cash I would get it to.

This is the website, they have pre-cut sheets made to order. That's where I got my lower bumper piece. http://www.clearmask.com/

Done some searching and came up with this post. I am looking at doing this in the near future but my tint guy says he can only get it in a kit and I don't want all that for $350. So Matt I ask you, how hard was it to do on the lower bumper? I have vary little expercience with things like this and don't want to really screw it up and get a lot of bubbles. Also how hard is it to get the bugs off of this stuff? Just a sponge and soap? Thanks!

How hard is it to keep it clean? What if it starts looking like crap because of bugs and rocks and you want to peel it off will your paint come with it.

When I had my accident, I had a spray on clear bra done...cant even tell its on!!!

I only had it done to the front bumper (upper and lower valance). I figured my hood and fenders would be fine since I dont plan on staying leveled height for too long...

Were did you get that at? Just spray it on like paint? The ones I have seen that spray on are black.

Ok, to answer everyones questions........The clear bra is very tough and it wont look like crap after a short while. I have had it on for a year or so and it still looks like it did the day I put it on. Rocks don't even leave marks on it, that's how tough it is, and it hasn't yellowed even in the slightest. When you peel it off, it won't take paint with it, it's just a big sheet of plastic that forms to the bumper. If you do not have experience with this sort of thing, I'd say buy the pieces you want and take it to a tint installer and have em put it on for you. I have tinted some windows before and the procedure is almost exactly the same. If you do want to do it, make sure you have 2 people otherwise you will drop one side on the ground while lining the other up. It shouldn't be hard to get bugs off, just clean it up like normal and get EVERYTHING off the surface.

Here is a closer shot of the front for reference........the lower bumper, the metal part only, is covered in the bra. The HD valence and the upper bumper is not. You can't even tell it is there.

Thanks for the reply Matt and the pic, you can't even tell its on there. I think I will leave it alone with doing it myself. I have put on a few bigger stickers before and always seem to screw it up. Will talk to my tint guy and see if he will do it for me.
