How would that be fun for the dodge driver? Especially since he didn't then have a re-match and win.
That idea sounds stupid to me...

It's really simple, they live in the same town so could be setting him up for a nice tasty defeat the second time around (not everything a person does makes sense). I do this all the time with my '69 Tbird. 429 big block with 4 barrel carb, 365 HP and 462 ft. lbs. of torque. I'll get one of those ricers beside me at a light and I'll let him beat me to three or four lights, build up his confidence real nice. Then the fifth time I stomp it and crush him by half a block before he even gets rolling.
Makes the victory all the more sweet.

its about 1) driver skill and 2) picking your fights wisely. of course my 5000 pound lifted truck on 35s isnt going to beat a WRX with headers off a launch, with his power to weight ratio and AWD. hittin it off a roll gives me a win, within certain conditions, up to a certain length and speed. winning smart doesnt mean youre not winning

i believe the lack of clutch skill was what cost him. like i said, i got all my gains off the launch up through 1st gear. and he was gaining on me for the 1st half of second gear. what confused me was that from around 55-70 mph we were dead even on the acceleration before he let off. and as far as toying with me, i highly doubt it lol. if i were to toy with someone, i would let them have it off the launch and then blow past em and with 5 million+ ppl here in atlanta, i doubt ill see him again...
but i guess its possible he was just scared to go ***** out...
but remember i ran a 15.3 on a 1100 ft. elevation track with warm and humid temps. i can definately see how a srt-10 who runs mid 13's in prefect conditions could run a 15.3 on that track with a crappy launch...
