Shopping Carts

Since having your truck lifted have any of you guys run over a shopping cart? I was at Walmart late last night. While I was driving off I heard this sudden weird sound. I was like holy crapzerz. I get off the darn basket had drug under my Fab tech cross member thing. Most embarrassing moment so far!

Funny thing you mention that. My wife and kids were at Target today, and I guess she rolled our cart in front of the truck b/c I know darn good and well I didnt see a cart when we came out. But anyway, I start to pull straight ahead instead of backing up when I hear a noise but nothing too unnerving. A carload of girls in front of us pass by staring at the truck. My wife says "Do girls always stare at you like that in your truck?" Of course I say no. Then we pull out onto the road, still never feeling or hearing anything. Finally the car in front of me pulls into the turn lane and flags me down. "Hey you've got a buggy under your truck!" So what do I do? Send my wife to get it out. And of course she cant. See I put my hazards on and pull a mangled cart out from under the truck and throw it up on the curb about 1/4 mile from Target. Awesome.

If you're lifted to the point where you can't see a shopping cart, maybe its time for front/rear cameras. My neighbor's 2 year old is a lot shorter than a shopping cart. Not trying to preach, I'm just saying.

It'll be more embarrassing when you have to pull a Miata out from under there!

I couldn't agree more. Back in April I discovered that my truck had been hit, but I couldn't figure out what would have left a dent and a grey paint transfer at 39" from the ground on my front fender.

Then one day while at Wal-Mart I got out of the truck to push a cart out of my way. That's when I put 2 and 2 together. The handle was exactly 39" from the ground and the cart is painted grey. Cost me only $150.00 to get this fixed at the school's autobody shop, but its the principle of the matter.

So all you boys with jacked up trucks its open season on buggies

Practice what you preach, jk. A front camera would be pretty awsome. Especialy in conjunction with a rear view camera, put a toggle switch on the dash and switch between front and rear views.
