06 STX Brake Problem

When I picked up my new 06 STX 4.6 Reg cab the brake peddle was low, soft and spongy. If you pumped the brakes once it would give me a semi high peddle, somewhat firm and the truck would stop in a normal manner. My main complaint was, when you would initially depress the peddle it was low, soft and spongy. After the service manager test-drove the truck he came back to me and said “All 06’s w/4 wheel disc brakes are like this”. Just trying to blow me off. After I persisted they agreed to bleed the system. When I picked up the truck it was much better. But now after driving an additional 1k miles the soft peddle is returning. Any thoughts? Does anyone know of a factory recall on this problem? I specifically bought this truck for towing and now I’m a little leery doing that.

My '05 was like that, but my '06 is waaaaay better in terms of the feel of the pedal.

There could be some air trapped in the ABS controller that for some reason or another hasn't been properly bled out. Another possibility is a bad master cylinder.
