Anyone know about wheels spacers?

Hey guys new to the site and loving it, will have more pics up soon of the truck and mods listed but I am currently wondering about wheel spacers would like my wheels and tires to be sticking out a little more without replacing to a larger size what is everyones thoughts? good idea to install wheel spacers or no? I am currently running a 33 12.50 18 on 18 x 8.5 mb shakers with a spacer front lift

Please don't do it to your truck!

I don't know about the safety or potential problems, but I do know that your truck looks awesome as-is. I wouldn't change a thing about it. Actually, you've got me reconsidering whether or not to spring for new rims/tires instead of just tires. Your setup is perfect now.

As far as safety is concerned its a yes and no answer. If you get the wheel spacers that bolt up to your current lugs then you bolt your rim to the spacer you will be fine. I've seen these go for years on mustangs putting down 400 rear wheel horsepower.

If you get the spacers that just slide over your current lugs and push your wheel out these can be very dangerous. I've seen these cause lugs to snap.

But as the other guys said your truck looks great.

Ditto on that one. Slide on spacers are a HUGE no-no.

Your truck looks sweet as-is.

If you add them you'll go from BestnTx to worst in Texas.

I'm not sure if I even agree with the bolt ons. The major difference is not the power/torque, it is the weight of the vehicle and its purpose. Spacers of any kind on a truck that weighs about 5500 lbs that can haul an additional 2000lbs and tow much more are not a good idea. Try looking into different wheels with the proper offset.
