Spare Tire
Spare Tire
I was checking out my spare tire today because I will be leaving on a trip next week. I wanted to make sure that it is still inflated and such.
Well after lowering the spare and pulling it out from under the truck I discovered that it is a bit different than the stock tires. Its BIGGER. My stock tires are 235/70R17 Hankooks (30x9.3) and the spare is a 265/70R17 Goodyear (31.6x10.4). That's almost 2" taller and 1" wider than the stockers.
Can anyone shed some light on this for me? Is this normal? Will this damage anything if I have to drive on the spare for say 100 miles or so?
I better go check and make sure that the bolt pattern is 6x135mm.
TIA,
Ox

That's an error from the factory.
Your sig says 'nonLS' so the spare can go on any corner.
I upped the tire size when mine wore out, now my spare is smaller.
You are ahead of the game and won't have this problem, should you decide to increase your tire size to the optional size some people paid for, when that day comes.
I have 95,000 on my truck and 200 on my spare.
