Did anyone reprogram your computer to know that you have 4.88 gears if not your truck is trying to shift like you have 3.55. Like others said get a programer right away.

well whatever the technical term is.those gears should make a substantial change from my 3.55's. i have decided to just play the waiting game and drive it for myself. However I am going to order the edge in the next hour or so. I will be sure to keep you all updated and to post pics when I get a chance I only have a couple pictures, which where taken at night because I was desperate.

Truck looks great but if your computer was not changed do not drive your truck, you could mess up your tranny.

i would dump the glasspacks and get you a nice magnaflow muffler. dual in dual out, they have a built in x pipe in them. and if you do a lot of interstate driving i wouldn't get flowmasters. they drone to much for me. at 85 on the interstate you can't hear my exhaust if your talking and the radio is on. but if you goose it the beast comes alive

Not necessarily, The 4.88s should put it closer to stock i.e. the computer still shifts at stock shift points since the gears compensate for the larger tires. If he had NOT upgraded his gears then the computer would shift at the wrong shift points. I dont know how to explain clearly but you should get the idea.

Anyways, I would probably drive it YOURSELF before you freak out just like Thumper said. I drove my truck to the shop with 3.73s and 37s and had to turn the overdrive off and manually shift because the shift points were off like a ******. After the gears, the shift points were back to normal BUT lacked power...I wonder why? Anyways, If it were my truck I would definately dump the glass packs and get a muffler with some back pressure, then i would install the EDGE, no doubt about it. The edge will fix your shift points and give you the accleration you want.
Just my 2 cents

For the record, my Flowmaster 40's only drone at around 50mph..

I can't hear it on the highway with the windows down and radio off..

+1! Please remove the glasspacks! Those are reserved for only chebby and dodge owners!!

I'm sure, as Sal said, that a muffler with some better backpressure will help out tremendously. Along with a good tuner.

If I remember correctly, The guy who did my gears said 1000 miles also. You may want to have the gear oil changed after you break them in.
