I pulled the horseshoe clip off that is pointed at with the arrows - with an awl. A needle nose is a little overkill for the space you have when the lock rod is still connected. Just pry it out and pull it off the rest of the way - 1,2,3.

I installed the lock mechanism and clip when I had the rods and wiring connected, also no problem.

Honestly, you can use whatever you want to get the clip off.

Thump - some advice for you...tape, Tape, TApe, TAPe, TAPE!!!! I know it's be mentioned and I taped up my stuff, but not enough. I put a BIG (little) scrape on the corner of one of my handles...and had to order a new one.

The top outside corner comes in contact pretty good when you twist it in to place. Just tape real good on that corner and metal edges of the handle opening.

It rides fine...can't tell a difference from not being cranked!

I was thinking about ordering the 5" block and having them crank my coilovers an inch to level it back out. What do you think?

If I could do it all over again...(and keeping w/ the Fabtech lift), I think I would go with 4"-5" springs and eliminate the blocks. Not sure if there is 5" out there, but you could have them made for you!

Yup, Fabtech makes a 5" block for the new body-style F-150s. I was thinking about also just having a custom 1" block made and using the Skyjacker 4" leaf pack. I was looking into Deaver but for a mostly street truck, its not worth the money. I will check out National Spring though.
