Rear-ended: what to look for?

Looking for a little help.
I was rear-ended on the way to work this afternoon. I was driving <10km/h and felt a "lurch" forward as if my foot had slipped off the clutch or somthing (however, it is an automatic). Took me a second to realize what had happened, but some lady drove into the back of my "new to me" (< 2 weeks old!) 2004 f-150.
She was driving a little toyota corolla, and for the most part her hood went up underneath my back bumper. the receiver hitch recepticle put a big hole in her hood, and my rear bumper made quite a mess of her hood.
The only thing i can see wrong with my truck is the plate that the trailer hitch light connectors is mounted to got bent up a bit underneath.
Now... What I want to know is: what else could possibly be wrong with my truck, and how can I check for it. could there be any transmission dammage from being hit from behind when in gear? Anything that could be hidden and come back to haunt me a few years down the road? Any way to check my reverse sensors to see if they are all still working?
Thanks for your help,
Brad

Frame damage is what I'd be looking for. Do you have a trailer hitch on your truck? It takes less of a shot than what a lot of people think to bend the frame a tad just enough to where things don't line up like they should. I'd get a through inspection done by a competent body shop to inspect for any frame or bumper misalignment on your truck. I wouldn't worry about any transmission damage or anything like that.

Thanks Quintin,
I do have a trailer hitch on my truck, but the reciever hitch and ball were not in. I looked last night and noticed that where the trailer hitch mounted to the frame looked like the hitch had moved a bit. I might pull the bolts out and look for damage there? The bumper and everything else looks to be aligned fine still.
Thanks for your help.
