Bilstein
Bilstein
I got bilsteins in last night and put the rear on, but get this with only 23k both rear shocks were trash. One didnt have any pressure in it and the other the first 2 inches of travel was an air pocket and then when it went down it made a qushing sound (a lot of air mixed with the fluid). I would recomend everyone look and test theirs mine were trash with on 23k on them. Also I though I read a post on which way to mount them how someone put them on and everyone said it was upside down but I couldnt find the post but i have mine body up with bilstein reading the right way this is right, right even though it is upside down compaired to stock. Also I need opinions on to run boots or not. I have searched and it is right at 50 50 yes/no what to do?
Its always a good idea to run boots. Asphault and sand can damage the shock overtime if left unprotected. You have nothing to loose by running the boots. I have my shocks mounted with the body on top and the shaft on the bottom. Thats usually the correct way to mount them.
Bilsteins can be run either way, shouldn't matter if they are up or down. I have run them both ways with no problems. I prefer not to run the boots because all they do is trap dirt and water in them.
