I was heading out on a camping trip every thing was loaded up and the truck was started. It is 112 in Phoenix so had my windows down to air out the cab. I go to roll up my windows and all go up except for my driver side front which goes back down on its own and wont go back up. I am nt driving 150 miles with one window down a nd a wife complaing the whole way. I was able to get a pair of small vicegrips on the runner inside to door the window stayed up the whole trip. 50 bucks for copay on my waranty. better than 300 it would have cost for a new mechanism. S#!t happens. Still love my truck.

The road I drive back home on
is a buffet of bugs and they LOVE you stick onto the front of the truck. Even with WD-40 and a good soaken, when the bugs come off, so did the paint on the surrond of the grill. Local dealer said they would fix it for $50 copay.

Long story short, no probs until 37,000 miles. I had a few words to describe the situation...none I can post here though:o

 

There's a GREAT reason to be ULTRA-CAREFUL with WD-40 (or any other solvent-based product) on a painted surface...

 

All four of mine have been replaced. Get ready, I bet the other ones will do the same. A mechanic at the Dealership told me they had problems with the 04s doing this. I think its the heat. By the way I live in Phoenix too.
