Looking at buying an 06 FX4

Hi all, my 2001 F-150 Supercrew Lariat 4x4 was totalled last Monday when an asshat in a Ram 2500 rearended me going 20-25mph at a stoplight. I should be getting a big lump sum check for the value of the truck soon (I had a clear title on it).

I've been browsing around at the local Ford dealerships and came across (what I think) is a pretty good deal.

It's an 06 FX4 Supercrew. It's oxford white with black leather interior, luxury package, tow package, deluxe mirror package, 3.73 limited slip, 20" wheels, captains chairs, in-dash 6 cd changer, skid plates, power adjustable pedals, power sliding rear window, reverse sensing system, 4" polished stainless steel running boards, and a dealer installed alarm.

The dealer is offering it to me for 500 under invoice. My only hesitation is if I should wait until September, when the 2007 trucks start coming out and the dealers are wanting to get their 2006's off the lots. At that time would I be likely to get a better deal than 500 under invoice? Or I should I take this deal and run?

That sounds like a great deal, I would take it because who knows what will be left when the 07's roll out. I have an 06 FX4 Screw and LOVE it. Good luck.

Yeah, 500 under invoice and 60 months at 0% APR financing.

Sounds like I should go for it.

Thanks for the input everyone!

I'd jump on that deal -- waiting until September will only mean getting some pretty slim pickings as far as truck selection goes!

The 06's on the lots right now are probably the last batch that will be out before the 07's in sept. The 07's prob won't have 0% financing.

It should also include the free gas until 2007.
