Cruse control not working after truck warms up

I have a 04 lariat scab with 58000 miles on it. About a month ago the cruse control started acting up. What it does is when I first start driving it will work fine. Once it gets to normal temp 5 minuits later it will just cutt off. If I hit resume it will for 2 seconds then thats it. It wont work again untill it cools down to cold then the same thing. Are there any ford techs with some insight on this problem. I have checked for trouble codes with my elmscan but there are none. Tranny fluid clean and changed along with filter and the truck seems to run fine. Any help would be apreceated. Thanks

I do know that if your parking brake is on your cruise control wont work. MAYBE its engaging or something? I dunno, I am stupid.

How do your tires look? Are they all even tread and even tire pressure? If one is off, it might disable the cruise due to uneven wheel speed.

The front tires are new the rears have next to no tread left but inflated well. Thats a good point . I hadnt thaught about the tires. I dont think they are causing any drag. I would think just the opposite. Thanks

I had a cruise control issue. There's three sensors that need to be checked to see if they're functioning properly. If you have a floor shift F150, they will also check the shift solenoid. After that, the clockspring in the wheel, that's what broke on mine, works great now.
