factory trans cooler

Does anyone know at what temp the trans cooler kicks on? On my drive home from work today it didn't seem like it was working like it usually does. Normally when the oil temp its 200 it will cool the trans fluid down to about 155. Today it hit 172.

Fluid should be going thru the cooler constantly.

As long as the tranny temp stays well below 200 F., you will be okay.

The thermostatic bypass valve won't allow cooler flow 'till like 185 degrees.
