A Different Intake or a Computer Programmer???
A Different Intake or a Computer Programmer???
Just wanted to get some opinions......I already have an S&B "Cold Air" Intake, which is OK, I don't notice too much of a difference in performance....I've been thinking of trying a different set up like the AEM or Fram Boost.....However, is it worth the extra money for a new Intake or should I get a programmer like the Edge or XCAL and see what kind of performance difference I get with that????
Get the tuner
I have both the edge and diablo. Out of the box the Edge is a great little tuner.
Loads so damn fast its unbelievable..
If you plan on doing some serious modding. such as supercharger.turbocharger get the SCT or Diablo.
If not get the edge it rocks..I am Amazed It feels quicker still have try some 1/4 mile runs..
only thing I dont like.. is the shifting. its kinda weak compared to the diablo

It is worth every penny to get a tuner such as the SCT Excalibur over the superchips 1714. I have had both and there is a difference in performance. I am just guessing but I would think that the edge is good also.
Thanks to all who have put their 2 cents in so far....I think I am going to go with the Edge....Maybe the Superchips, but I think I get more for my money with the Edge....

I just ordered the Edge online for about $335 including shipping, and no tax....Can't wait for it to get here.....I tried to get it locally but the shop here said he could only sell it to me for $385....
I have a cheapy Airaid MIT Jr. and didnt notice much with that alone...when I installed the Edge Tuner...HUGE difference. Definately get that tuner first...though an Intake would be a nice compliment.
