E Fans

Allright give me the news, are they really that great of a thing? I know people that have them say they are the best but how much colder does it really make your ac? I am not worried about more horse power or MPG I just want a colder AC. Do they work that great at makeing the ac colder to justify almost 300$? let me have it

I would call the company, I'm in it for more horses!, maybe search in here for people that have e-fans and see if there A/C is cooler, but I'm sure it can't hurt the performance of your A/c.

Like i said, i have efans and it helps your ac at slower speeds and idle.

However on the freeway it doesnt really make any difference..

I think the E-fans are one of my favorite mods as they cleaned up the engine bay, very easy to work on now, change belts, oil, etc. I would hop on that deal if I didn't already have them in a heartbeat, I wonder if I can purchase their controllers.

The Efans only make the AC cooler at stoplights WHEN they're on. If you sitting at a stop light or just ideling.... and the efan is NOT on... your AC will NOT be cool.

Thats why you wire one fan to run on high speed when A/C is on....

That's true. The way I have mine is to turn on at a certain radiator temp. When im going down the highway and have the AC on.. I don't need an Efan spinnin away. Waste its life.

I have two fans... one comes on at a certain temp.. the other is a HI temp fan... truck has NEVER gotten hot enough for it to come on..

If I can ever overcome laziness and procrastination, I'll wire the second fan to a manual switch.

I'm not knocking efans, I love mine, just getting out the facts.

I dont know if you know this or not, but your fan is spinning at highway speeds. The contacts in the motor are still being "worn". I found this out when i wired led indicator lights for my motor. At highway speeds, the freewheeling fan generates enough juice to power the indicator lights. I dont know how much juice, but it is there.
I have an oem ford fan so it should be good for AT LEAST 100000 miles.

I live in the the gilbert chandler area. I am thinking now that i might just want to get some good shocks over the e fan because they wont do a whole lot for me, I do all highway driving anyways, even at highway speeds my ac is not cold enough.
