I just got the fabtech because their chrossmember looked 10x better than that boring procomp one. The procomp also for some reason looks like it sits lower in the back than the front

I agree about the cross-member. But, all lifts are pretty much the same height in the back since they for the most part all use a 4" block.

Ive looked alot into both lifts and I tend to also lean toward the fabtech. Main reason also being the crossmember. It just looks alot better and stronger. I like how the fabtech is curved whereas the procom is just straight across. Makes it kind of look cheap and fragile. Second reason is Im looking at the basic kits and I really dont like how ProComp just uses a huge coil spacer. For the same price or even less the fabtech uses a new shock to obtain the lift. Of course I beleieve both companys have a complete coil over replacement which eliminate that argument for some.

My crossmember is arched unlike some of the procomp ones... here is a pic.

annd Josiah, like I said I can take a picture but the Dana 60 looks basically the same as our stock 9.75 rear. The only thing that stands out is the little toggle switch on my dash.

you have the 2wd procomp.. the 4x4 procomp is a flat bar..

I went with the fabtech due to the crossmember looking 10X better, and that fabtech doesn't use spacers.. (however im upgradeing so who cares about that part).

What are you talking about?

Did you mean doesn't use spacers?

I think you mean "fabtech does not use spacers"...

Anyway, my vote is for fabtech also.. Do some searching on this forum, and you will find posts about problems people have had with their pro comp kits...

yeah i agree fabtech better in certain aspects. like in the basic kit, pro comp gets their *** kicked by the fabtech, but i think the setup i got with pro runner coilovers and rear MX-6 Reservoir shocks beats the fabtech dirt logics. i love having 6 way adjustable reservoired billet shocks for my rear

yes i meant.. Doesn't... sorry i was in a hurry and typing fast...

as for what patshea said, i might agree not sure yet.. The basic kit fabtech wins, but i think the proruners/mx6's might be better than the dirtlogics..

Thats what im trying to decide right now as im ready to upgrade to nice new coilovers

From what I understand, they are about the same in performance.

Out of the box, both kind of suck when it comes to shocks. Either way, you'll need to upgrade the front and rear shocks to get any semblence of a decent ride (the fillings in my teeth were rattled lose from the ride )

I simply went with ProComp for the skid plate up front!

I don't know where you'd heard that because the Fabtech kits have always been known to have better shocks than the Procomp kits.
