Here is a 6x8 setup, the only difference is an adapter plate will be in the bottom hole filling the space on the sides of the 6.5"s

I disagree. You can put 5.25" components in with an adapter plate but 6.5" will require some cutting.

Check my gallery.

6.5'' Infinity Kappa Perfects with no cutting. Just had to trim down the adapter plate I went with. They fit, work, and sound "perfect"

04 SCREWLARIAT, are you using the stock head unit? How much did these run you? If they would make a difference on my audiophile w/subwoofer system I'll buy'em for the front.

These are 6.5'' components. They are called Infinity Kappa Perfect 6.1's. They retail for $399 a pair on Crutchfield. I did not pay that though, and bought them online for $280 I think. If you do not plan on putting an amp to them I would go with the regular Infinity Kappa's. But if you do want to amp them up these things are sweet.

Let me know any other questions.

And to answer your question, I am running an aftermarket headunit. I was however running them off the stock audiophile headunit.

I'm assuming you had the audiophile with the sub, if so how did they sound in that setup? I never got into amplifiers and all that fancy stuff, maybe it's about time.

I have a set of Boston Pro 6.5 components, and I'm looking for adapter plates. By trimming, do you mean sheet metal or door panel? I talked to an audio shop that said they could make them fit. They are a Boston dealer, and have done some 04+, but I'm a DIY guy.
