I just purchased this truck yesterday. Can someone explain to me how I can remove the front license tag bracket. I can not figure out how to get the bottom (tabs?) out. I dont want to break anything.

just pull like a *****, it will pop off.

edit: If I recall correctly kind of pull up and out at the same time and it should just snap out.

It did pop out but broke the bottom tabs on the tag bracket (No notiable damage to truck , but the bracket is useless now . I wonder whats holding it in there (screws, rivets?). Seems like it should be easier to do since most people I know never puts a front tag on.

 

Removed my license tag the other day. The top comes out easy, but you have to get under the truck for the bottom tabs. The 2 bottom tabs snap in place. Hard to expain, but kinda like a barb on a fish hook. Once the little plastic bars go on they cant back up. You need a long screw driver or something of the like and push up on the tabs to get them to unhook while pulling out on the license plate. Make sense of that??? LOL

 

I had to buy the front plate holder from the dealer--they don't include with the truck. THink it was like $11 -- high profit item.
