Finished installing leather upholstery

Finished replacing the stain prone cloth interior with leather covers from www.leatherseats.com. Overall, it wasn't too bad. The console was by far the hardest. Thanks to goslow for the How-to on the center console and donniep3 for posting the link to goslow's instructions. The rest was pretty straight forward. It was a lot of work taking everything out and then stretching the new upholstery to fasten clips and hog rings.

It was well worth it!!

Did you put the leather over the factory cloth or did you have to remove it first?

OMG.........I hate this forum. It makes me spend so much money!!!!!!!! Those look amazing.....I'm going to go look at that website right now. Give us a how hard rating on the seats and how long it took to do all of them. The big question.......how do they feel? Does it feel smooth and plush or is it hard like the stock leather seats. That's one of the reasons I didn't go with black leather because I didn't like the way it felt.

You have to remove your old upholstery. It's just like the factory leather upholstery. Attaches the same way with hog rings, velcro and plastic clips.

Looks great

But I have to say I've had my one and only beige interior (previous car, an Accord). Beige gets scuff marks way too easy... from now on only black interiors for me.

That said, you have done an excellent job installing the leather! It really looks super and I bet it's nice and comfy. Job well done.

Total came to around $700. That includes all the leather, hog rings, hog ring pliers and shipping. They have different options so you can customize the look if you want. I just wanted the stock look. You can add pleated or perforated inserts, different color inserts, different colored piping or thread.

It feels a little softer than the stock Lariat Leather. Not sure if the Lariat and the XLT have the same type leather. The leather in my Harley Davidson F-150 is a bit harder.
