That said, you have done an excellent job installing the leather! It really looks super and I bet it's nice and comfy. Job well done.
I 100% agree. I have a black F-150 Harley Davidson with black interior, a black 1998 Mustang GT with black interior and a 1973 Mach 1 with black interior. Unfortunately, black interior was not an option for the 05 F-150 and gray seems to look worse when it gets dirty and wouldn't look as good as tan with the dark red exterior.

Oh yes it is. It wasn't available in anything less than a Lariat or FX4, but you could get a black interior in an '05 F150.

I got my F-150 during the family deal period. I had to choose from what was available. We got an awesome deal.

Hey etch, great job on the seats. I love the two tone ones in my truck. BTW how much trouble did you run into on the console?

Well getting the pice around the cup holders was a pain in the butt, but getting the snap ring back in place over the leather was even worse. The instructions helped a lot. I would have never thought to pull the cloth out before trying to rip the thing apart. The lid wasn't too bad.

Glad to hear that it was not to bad. It is a good feeling when you are done and get to enjoy a mod like this. The big bonus is that you did it yourself!!!

Red face

I ordered mine through www.katzkin.com from a local vendor. I paid $1,000 for 2 tone leather seats plus installation. They are soft & durable enough for everyday use. Plus, they clean up easily. I have 2 kids ages 3 & 5. Spilled drinks, loose french fries, messy burgers, no probs. BTW, the seats look awesome. Trying to get my friend to order a set. He's trying to do exotic snakeskin with beige panels. You can design & see your seats on their website before going to their vendor to order. It made the process so easy. Ordered the seats on Monday. Arrived on Thursday. Installed on Tuesday. God Bless Randy at Salisbury Auto Trim.

That's one of the reasons I didn't go with black leather because I didn't like the way it felt.
Forgot to answer your other questions. It wasn't too difficult, but it wasn't easy either. For a DIY project, I'd say it is a 5 on a scale of 1 to 10. You have a different center console, so yours would probably be a 4 as the 40/20/40 console is a PITA. The front seats weren't too bad, you just need to take a lot of stuff off to get the bottom off. The tops are pretty easy for a supercrew. A little more difficult if you have a supercab, since you have to cut a hole for the seat belt. As for how long it takes. Give yourself a full weekend, but it could be done in a day if you have a nice strong back.

What colors did you get? I have not seen many two tone seats in the 150s. I think it looks great and helps to blend in with the dash design. I got mine for around $350 and installed them myself in a couple of days. I did it a little at a time by removing the seats I didn't use on a daily basis.

For those who want to tackle this there are several good post with steps that will make it pretty easy to do if you take your time.

I ordered the lapis which is a light grey with red inserts just the center portions. Then I had Randy wrap my headrest tv monitors in the same style. Got the headrest w/ 8" tvs from ebay preinstalled. The 8" tvs wouldn't work with factory seats. The best you could do is 6 1/2" tvs which what a friend of mine did.

I have been lookin around on that site and I kinda think I know what I want. I would love to get the suede/leather combo with black leather on the outside and light grey suede to match my interior on the inside. I sent them an email for the best color suede to match my grey, which I think is the light slate. I think that would look badass in my interior!!!!!

Hey Matt,
The guys at leatherseats.com sent me all the samples I asked for and even suggested a couple that I didn't think would match. If you have not tried this route for a match shoot them the colors you are looking for and they should sent you the swatches.
