Paintable Front Upper Bumper

My XL came with an unmatched/nonpainted (aka black texture) upper front bumper. I was wondering if this paintable. The grill surround is also nonpainted. Are these doable for paint?

i would still have those pieces painted, cept i decided not to bother spending money on this truck. with all the other plastic stuff thats painted i dont see the big deal. maybe the texture is an issue, i dunno. a paint expert will chime in and explain, i hope.

Yes you can paint it. Scuff the plastic texture up like mad, put plastic adhesion promoter on it and prime it to get the texture blocked out. Sand it and paint it. I do it all the time at the dealership i work at. Haven't had one come back for peeling yet.

sounds like a plan, but how much would it take to do all that leveled05STX? id check the salvage yard but i doubt there'd be 04-06 f-150s laying around. well for now i think of actually leaving it as is. im thinking of getting HD or HD style headlights. im going for black/silver theme. any inputs regarding HD headlights w/ factory black upper bumper?
