The racks on these trucks are no worse then on any other vehicle I've owned. They are designed for use with the stock suspension and wheels, if you change all that then you need to beef up the steering as well to handle the extra load. I love it when someone puts a 6" lift on their truck with 35" tires but they keep the stock brakes. Then when they drive into a brick wall they start a thread whining about what a POS the F150 is. Bigger wheels and tires=more rolling mass. The stock brakes aren't designed for this, just like the steering rack isn't made to turn more then the stock wheels.

Jesus H. Ch**t people are mouthy and opinionated! Uhm, for every one here saying he was going to careen off the road killing a tour bus of blind nuns doing volunteer work feeding deaf cancer children, he made it there and back. And yes, as far as I can tell by the news, those nuns did too.

Nick, how the hell did you come up with that

I'm not going to argue, alright I will. Our steering rack is not weak, the truck running the FTS lift from the Pismo meet is running 41" iroks...and did fine with the stock rack. Obviously it's not a bulletproof rack and nobody is claiming that, but it can handle a HUGE % of what most people are going to throw at it. I don't know when or how I broke mine but a rock could have slammed into it during a creek crossing and created a weak spot. If that's the case, it has done very well (the rock didn't shatter it). I don't know of a single case where one has broken on anyone so it's not fair to call it weak just yet, a Titan rearend is a better example of something proven to be "weak."

Dude, give the guy some credit, hes pretty knowledgeable about the truck. And he doesnt go speeding down the road, the guy drives under the speed limit, which is a damn rarity.

**** I bet you've had a few drinks before you went out driving before... How safe was I when you did that. And if you didnt, thats also pretty rare... square..

And how safe is your car??

So he gets repairs done, you don't like them, you call him an idiot and say that you hope he ends up in jail and then say you "like him and everything".

Please, don't like me, I can't use that bad karma.

After reading through this post (and filtering out all the sniveling), I went out to the shop and checked my R&P... sure enough, it's split in the exact same location. Guess that explains the strange tracking problems that not even my front end shop could find.

Thanks for posting Josiah...

that pic was taken after a 'sea foam" treatment.

I'm basically getting on Josh only because of the risk he puts others as some guys here also noted to him, I'm not the first to point this out to him, just making sure he realizes the danger to him and others. whats so bad about warning someone of the possibilities of what could happen in this situation?

as they always say.. better safe then sorry.
