Is there any legitimacy behind that article? A friend of mine bought a mini and I joked on him and then he showed me that... I need a rebuttle. lol!

Hmm....but you should look closley, thats not a 2004-2006 F-150, wrong forum.
Its been posted before but yes thats true what you see. Go do a search on google for crash test results for the 04 F-150 and show your buddy that....

Well, you have to take mass into consideration here.
The formula for force is Mass X acceleration (or velocity). So, at equal speeds, the 5,500lb F150 is going to hit that brick wall with much more force than the Radioshack R/C car in the picture.
Oh, and that's a 1997-2003 model F150...
The 2004+ were rated very well for front-end collisions.

Hell my biggest load yet was just over 15,000 lbs
I dont want to have to pull a load that big but i know it can
Im sorry, but basic common sense says that the f150 is more safe than the mini in many situations. Not all, but ifyou put a new f150 up against an suv in a head on collision and you put a mini through the same test, the occupant in the f150 would fare better. Not to say that in all situations the f150 is safer, but in the majority of real world situations, the f150 is superior

I saw a car last night that had ping ponged all over the highway, at a bend in the road. (a one car accident)

I think everyone is missing the point of the article, its just trying to show that for such a small car the Mini is pretty damn safe.
Come on man, I hope you're kidding? . . How about asking a Corvette owner the same thing? or maybe even a GT owner. Different tools for different jobs.

If different tools are for different jobs, why are we having this discussion?
Some unnamed person's friend above decided in an argument to compare apples to oranges already. Given that our Apple is at least as safe as his Orange when put in the same crash situation, and much more safe overall (I'd love to see a SIDE impact on that Mini, it'd probably shock your buddy), I'd call the F-150 even at a minimum.
