Yeah but Florida is not dry heat like here. At least you have SOME moisture in the air. We have NONE. It's dry and HOT!

Mine weren't too bad today. It was 95 or so here today. If I had to hold it longet than needed to open the door it would have hurt.

But moisture in the air makes it feel hotter! 95 Degrees with 90% humidity is MISERABLE. With humidity you can't get out of the heat in the shade. It feels like 100+ in the shade here July - September. Desert nights can feel cool, but FL nights feel like 90+. Same way with the cold in winter. Cold moist air feels colder than cold dry air.

Yeah, but at least with moist heat, you have sweat that can act as a coolant. Whereas those of us in the So Cal desert (especially Indio, yikes!), you walk outside in the summer heat and your skin instantly sizzles to a crisp!!!

Seriously though, I worked out in Indio for about 2 years. And in those 2 years, I went through 3 windsheild in one of my old cars. No, not from rocks or anything like that. But from the pure heat of the day. I'd walk out to lunch, and I'd have a crack from one side of the windsheild to the other. All I have to say is that the Indio (and surrounding) communities are not meant for habitation.

You've got it all wrong. Sweat evaporating makes you feel cooler. When it won't evaporate you feel hotter. I'd love to go out west to prove myself wrong though. Maybe the next time a hurricane is baring down on us you'll invite me over?

Sure, during hurricane season it's about 75 degrees and sunny here. Now, let's quit getting off topic before this gets moved to General.

Eh, I already answered the original question definatively, and the original poster acknowledged. Thread over. Who cares if it gets moved now?

Hurricane season starts in 2 weeks, so let me know if it's only 75 then.

It will be, at 2 A.M.

I never said anything about when, although I did say "sunny" which is kind of impossible.
