Valve rattle when hammer is dropped

Valve rattle when hammer is dropped

I have no clue truck was not up to temp and had a horrible valve rattle when steppin on it tried to recreate but no luck any one have any of these problems.

Are you sure its not detination? Do you have a programer or intake? You may be running lean.

Sounds like spark knock. There's a tsb for that.

I have got the same thing, it's only when not up to full temp.

What is spark knock, is there a fix?

Mine is in the shop for that and a few other things. Their fix is a new different number spark plug set. I don't know the tsb number, but the dealership knows about it.

thanks, i have been woundering about this for a while. Guess i'll give the dealer a call.

Does the TSB change something with the programming, or actual parts? The reason I ask is because I have that problem but I have a custom tuner (had problem before too) and I don't want to have to have it re-programmed again.

It just replaces the plugs to an updated one. The tsb is 06-03-03. I looked at the old plugs and they looked fine with 18000 miles on them.
