Since you guys have been so helpful....how about another question.

I dont' have a floor jack....if I did get one, how high does the jack need to lift to work with our trucks?

I see some that have 19 inches of lift. Is that enough?

I use the 'speed jack' aluminum from costco, I think it goes up about 19 inches.
Works fine.
You can also add a piece of hard wood in the jack cradle for more lift. The wood also cushions the lift point on the truck. And you know to always put a jack stand under it when you use a floor jack. Never let it rest on the jack itself. They are just for lifting, not supporting.
