I need another way to verify my 0-60...need to borrow a g-tech or somthing, but i now after owning 2 sports cars, this truck hauls now... whatever the 0-60 is.....The edge speed is on though, its varified by GPS, within .5 MPH at 70

with edge??? or without... my 0-60 must be off.....???? It feels fast as hell though... i am starting to get disapointed.....HAHA....what about the shift points???

 

Do the roll measurement method to get an accurate reading on tire size. Weight of vehicle, air pressure, all effect the measurement.

Most people show a different number than the tire company state.

 

i need to do this... but i got my speedo on with the GPS according to edge mph readout so the Cir. must be on or REALLY close....i am going to do the rollout though....

 

Instructions from EDGE manual:


The following table will help you determine your tire circumference by matching your tire size with the common sizes listed. For example, if your tire size is 285/ 65-18, the value (circumference) you enter into the Evolution is 2600. You may also use the formula provided to determine your approximate tire circumference. Finally, you may also measure your tire’s circumference by marking your tire and rolling it one complete revolution and measuring the distance in inches or millimeters. If you measure in inches, multiply the distance by 25.4 to convert to mm. (ex. 91.3 inches x 25.4 = 2319 mm). The range of change is from 2000mm to 3500mm in increments of 1mm.

Thanks for the help but that’s not the problem....I calculated my "actual size" a 295-70R17 and it was 2659 or something and it was way off from actual...I posted on this earlier....I took the mph percentage off and changed the tire size by the same percentage....my Cir now is 2539, which is verified to be correct, because my edge speed matches my GPS speed....But what i was saying is i am still going to do the rollout... to double check....Everyone seems to think my 0-60 is slow.....actually i just read a article in a off road magazine...forgot the name, they put roush supercharger on an 05 truck with 20's 34's and 4.10 gears and it only ran a 7.6, they also had a detroit LS, and it was a SCAB, i figure since i am a screw at 8.9 i am not to bad off...That’s why I am not sure about these edge 0-60 readings, i want another way to calculate it....to verify accuracy...BTw that article had a CST lifted f150 on the cover if anyone has it...this months issue....

 

I think your times are probably correct. Some of the times posted have me wondering also.

 

I am running a 8.5 0-60 with my 35" Mud grapplers.. and 3.73 rearend.

 

Well if anyone wants to witness my 0-60 times feel free to take a ride in my truck anytime, just let me know when and where. But your times arent way off, it is a heavier truck, with larger tires somewhat. THe thing that has me scratching my head is the fact that you have 4.56 gears right? If I had 4.56 gears I would think that I could get into the low 6 second range 0-60. Stock I was at 8.4-8.5, edge only I was at 7.2-7.4, and with the edge/intake/exhaust I am at 6.8-6.9 seconds.

 

Who knows i think they are right....Dont forget i am not running level 3 which everyone says makes a huge difference....Yes i have 4.56's and they made the biggest difference in performance, out of all my mods.......4x4 Screw is a heavy beast....but it tows good as hell...

 

Well there we go, what level are you running? Thats why, I've seen 1 second gains by switching to level 3. Thats still pretty ****ty for your mods if you ask me (no offense).

 

I think it is so funny to hear people say they dont want to run level 3 due to the cost of 91 gas. We are talking about $5 more per tank. But you have more power so you dont have to get on the gas as long to achieve the same speed as you did with level 2.
